Graduate Assistantships
A few Shenandoah graduate degrees and departments offer select students the opportunity to be graduate assistants. These assistantships can provide a full or partial tuition waiver, a small stipend, or housing. Graduate assistants are selected by program directors, not by the office of financial aid.
Graduate Scholarships & Tuition Discounts
Select programs offer scholarships or tuition discounts to specific students or all students in the program on specific classes.
Cost Of Attendance
Cost of attendance for graduate and doctoral students will depend on the student’s program, year in the program, and whether or not the student enrolls in a summer term.
Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant
The Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant Program (VTAG) is a state-funded, non need-based grant available to graduate students who are Virginia residents and enrolled in a graduate health program for at least 9 credit hours per semester .
Graduate Loans
Loans are money students or parents may borrow to assist in paying for college costs. The federal financial aid program is the largest lender of student loans. There are alternative/private lenders to consider as well. Student loan repayment usually begins after education is finished. It is helpful to look at loans as an investment in the future.
